It's official - I am the worst blogger EVER! If you are even reading this blog, thanks for not giving up on me! This last year has flown by - and I have only posted once since Nathan's birthday, which we will be celebrating his second in the next couple of weeks! It's been quite the year. I would have to say I have struggled a bit to keep up with it. Mostly just eeking by. The sun has finally come out (in between snow storms and rain) and just as I think it is going to get better, I find out I am going to have another little munchkin! Life just has a way of laughing at you. And I was recently put in the YW's, which I am WAY excited about! The girls are great and I get a good laugh at every activity! Can't wait for girl's camp! Anywho - here are a couple of pictures since I last posted (if anyone is even interested :). And of course, it is backwards, so we will work back to Christmas! :)
Lydia was so cute painting her Easter Eggs this year. She kept asking when we were going to do them, and kept saying "I'm sooo excited!"
Nathan got a cute umbrella for Easter - I LOVE the way he says umbrella! I need to get it on video. It sounds kinda like "umblalblabla".
The kids had fun finding Easter eggs - we barely missed the rain!
Most of our winter was spent running around the island in the kitchen... in heels!
Nathan and Lydia had so much fun at Maleah's Pirate Princess Birthday Party!
We enjoyed one of the rare sunny days at the pond...and Nathan fell in one of the little pools. Nice. Luckily Brent was there to run home and get clean clothes!
Whenever we got a little bit of sunshine this Spring we enjoyed it! Loved Nathan's shades!
Nathan is sooo funny. Whenever he doesn't want to do something, he goes and hides behind the shower curtain and thinks I can't see him... love it!
Nathan and Lydia made use of the cute fence Grandpa made Nathan for Christmas!
Lydia sat long enough to let me put curlers in her hair... and I loved it!
Nathan went through a cute little phase of wanting to sit on the toilet...
too bad it didn't last very long!
Happy Valentine's Day! I got them the cutest little Hedgehogs that squeak...and then read the tags on them and realized I had bought the kids doggie toys! Oh well!
We enjoyed a beautifully rare sunny day up in Salt Lake City with the Davis' - so much fun!
We stayed at the Little America and had fun swimming (well, Brent and Lydia did anyway - Nathan wouldn't have it!). Then Saturday while Brent and Steve were at a seminar, Claire and I took the kids to Temple Square, the fun interactive Book of Mormon display at the Church's Art and History Museum, then on to the Children's Museum at the Gateway Mall. SO FUN!
Lydia dressed up as a cute little Spanish Girl at the Book of Mormon Display.
Nathan was right at home in the cute little kitchen at the Discovery Gateway.
The kids had a blast stocking up on groceries at the little mini market at the Children's Museum.
They had lots of fun riding Trax, too!
Love the hugs!
We went up to Salt Lake with my parents to see Shana off at her Mobilization ceremony to go to Afghanistan. Hopefully the year moves quickly for her! We miss you Shana!
New Year's was so much fun - we had our friends over to stay the night,
and I don't know if the girls even got any sleep! They sure had fun though!
Lydia and her friends - cute little Princesses!
Brent surprised me with a MUCH NEEDED getaway after Christmas! He took me to the Anniversary Inn where we stayed in the Jungle Room! So fun!
Then we drove up to Heber and stayed at the Homestead Resort for 2 nights - it was so fun! We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub (ran through the FREEZING cold to get there!), swam in the 90 degree mineral water in the Crater, went Snow Shoeing, attempted cross country skiing (the trails weren't groomed so we gave up) went to a movie in town, and about died when it snowed 27 INCHES while we were there!
Brent digging our car out - it was quite the feat! I loved being up in all the snow - it was magical!
I love the expressions the kids made when they saw what they got for Christmas! Classic!
I loved Nathan's too! They were soooo excited!
Lydia got just what she asked Santa for...her Princess Dolly!
Nathan got a phone...he LOVES phones and keeps stealing the home phone and our cell phones. This one is fun - it records you talking and then plays it back to you!

Wait. What? You're expecting another baby?! Congratulations!!!!
I enjoyed your year in review. Don't worry-- the baby years go really fast. I know it feels like forever when you're in it, but it does get easier!! Casey is 11 tomorrow, and it seems like he was just born. Hang in there!!
So fun to catch up. I can't believe how big your kids are getting. Congratulations on the new one. So when is this one going to join the family. We are excited for you.
