Lydia's Antics...

So, I know it isn't the easiest thing in the world to have a little brother come home with Mommy and Daddy from the hospital and take all the attention off you, but Lydia is handling it fairly well. She really likes to "help" mommy with baby brother, but also has some jealous streaks and does a lot for attention. I guess she has always been a pretty silly girl, though.

Lydia trying to fit in her dolly stroller - a little too big! I love that she loves her dolly and takes care of it as I am taking care of Nathan. She has a bottle so she can feed her dolly & changes her "poopy" diapers (wasting quite a few of the wipes, but what can you do?). She has to take dolly everywhere with us, too. Lydia drug her ducky and every other stuffed animal she has (they are under ducky) inside her ball pit for a big party! One example of Lydia "helping" with Nathan. She likes to bring stuff to him in his crib - this time she shared her grapes and sippy cup! I have also come to find him mercilessly unwrapped from his blanket, and then another time with all his burp cloths piled on his head. Don't you love Lydia's 80's do? No, I don't have as much time to do her hair & she often looks like a rugrat! This time her style was from pigtails after the nap & a clip to get it out of her face!Lydia's favorite time now is when mommy is feeding Nathan. She can reach WAY too high now, and likes to get into EVERYTHING! This time she came to me looking at her hand with quite a bit of concern. I didn't see my makeup base smeared all over her hands and face until I got closer. Yup - Good skin match, I guess.

Lydia LOVES to dance with Daddy! I have tried several times to get it on video, and she usually stops dancing and comes running to see the camera. I lucked out this time - she was having so much fun! She loves to watch "So You Think You Can Dance" and tries to do their moves - it is so funny! As soon as Daddy comes home, she tries to drag him in the family room to dance! And I am so glad Brent is such a good sport - he is so cute with Lydia and is such a good Daddy!

Nathan's First Bath

Lydia wanted to help give Nathan his first bath - she was so cute!

I am loving all of his thick hair! I hope it doesn't all fall out like Lydia's did! All these curls just make me want to put gel and a bow in his hair, but I don't think daddy would like that!

He has a name!

Ok, so we finally decided on a name for our cute little boy (sorry it took so long to post - kindof been busy! Our little guy's name is Nathan Brent Wall!

It was a long and hard decision because it has already been used in Brent's family, but it is the only boy name we have both ever liked! I went through 3 baby name books and the internet, and made a whole page of names for Brent to look over. He crossed out every one! So when we were leaving the hospital and had to fill out the Birth Certificate worksheet, we decided it was the one because we couldn't come up with anything else! We sure love our little guy!

Nathan spent the first couple days at home in the cute little bili-light suitcase! Same as Lydia had to do. We are just hoping that he doesn't have to spend any more time in there!

He's Here!

Hey Everyone! We are so excited to announce that Baby Wall is here!

No, we don't have a name chosen yet but we will let you know what it is when we do! Lindy started having contractions at 10:30 Monday night and we were trying to figure out if we should go to the hospital or not (for fear of being sent home - Lindy wasn't due until July 3). We decided to go, and by the time Lindy's dad came over and we drove all the way to the hospital, it was about 1:30 a.m. and Lindy was at an 8! Then after a wonderful epidural (wonderful for EVERYONE!) the doctor checked to find out that the baby was laying sideways and would not be coming without a C-Section! So in we went and Baby Boy Wall was yanked out at 2:34 a.m. Tuesday, June 2! He was in NICU for a day while they monitored his lungs and blood sugar, but got to come down to the regular nursery Wednesday morning. Mom is doing great (as long as she is medicated!) and we are excited to bring our baby home - hopefully he will have a name by then!

He weighed 8 lbs 2 oz and was 19 inches long!

What is funny is that he looks just like Lydia when she was born -

tons of curly hair and big chubby cheeks!
